The imprint of life is a temporary mark we create and then leave for others to experience. My art explores the quest of unraveling value within place.
I work primarily in minute scale, which allows me to construct an illusionistic perspective on our physical and psychological experiences within a space. While utilizing sculpture as well as wet and dry media, I work from the human condition of strength and fragility. There is an inward silence and strength we all possess, whether it is displayed in the human form or the objects we create.
Presented in these often contradictions, I am interested in the distant but familiar, the simple and complex; which are all woven together to create a harmony that echoes a dream of utopia.
